    Spring Isolators

    Hi guys,

Anyone use these on their Disco's? My understanding is that it is a rear spring isolator but can be used on both the top and bottom of either front or rear springs.

If anyone does, any problems with them, cracking etc like what occurs on a trim packer or spacer? I am gathering not, due to it being made by Land Rover.

    Cheers guys.

    Brett

D2 has them for the front springs also, fitted to the top and bolts to the shock tower, they are 13mm thick.

and i think they should be fitted to the top of the spring to ''isolate'' the road noise from the body??

    cheers phil

I have a 1994 Disco, they were on the rear only, don't know if they were standard then or someone added them.
There were no signs of damage / cracking

I have fitted them to the rear of my RRC, mainly to give a slight lift to level it. I have another pair in my shed, still in the packet.

A pair is fitted to the top of the front springs on my D1, none on the back.

On my D1, there doesn't seem like there would be much point fitting them to the bottom of the front springs because they are held in place by a metal plate and two bolts anyway.

The rear springs just sit in there, so top and/or bottom should be ok.

It looks like mine have been in the front for a long time with no signs of cracking or other damage.

    Robert,

These guys do, but do a search on the part number on Google and it should give out a few results.

They are a genuine Land Rover part, I got mine through the LR parts system when I worked at a Dealer.
