the new ones are the same preshaped rubber flare as the ones fitted to the td5 fenders. which Im assuming is the same as a flexi flare.
while the body work is a different shape the basic procedure is the same, I'm guessing that its just the marking out procedure and the cutting you want the tutorial for.
ahh... Im with you now your particularly interested in the bit that covers the door trimming yeah?
never liked that part myself...
sikaflex is your friend...
Dullbird and JC I will take some photos of my flares fitted tomorrow.
Tool wise I found an air nibbler worked best for the aluminium front panels flares and back half of the rear flares. When it comes to the rear doors I found if you mark where the flare needs to sit on the outside panel then just cut through the aluminium outer skin you can peel the outer skin off. Then I found you had to grind the inner steel panel.
I'll try and do up a more detailed report of how I went about fitting the flares when I get some photos.
Excellent, Thanks Dan.
It was the cutting of the rear doors that worried me, done incorrectly it could make them weak etc so yes, can't wait for the photos, thanks:)
JC
These are LRA flares but the cutting should be the same. Just mark around your flares. Cheers Brett
