You have just discovered the 14CUX and probably all Injection anti flood measure.
If you put foot flat it should shut off injectors while cranking.
Weak plugs, leads,old dizzy can cause flooding as can put um foot on accelerator while cranking.

If the fuel pump was replaced not long ago, recheck all the fuel line connections from the pump to the pump body/ outlet tube. I have had one where during installation, the original convoluted plastic tube was reused and routed poorly, rubbing a pinhole through it on one of the pump assembly frame 'legs', when engine was switched off, the system slowly depressurised itself. Would start fine until left for about 5 minutes , by then the fuel rail was almost completely depressurised.

I agree with the electrical comments, but it never does it when its cold, never, So i rule that out.
I still dont reckon one leaking injector would flood it enough to stop it from firing up. Would expect atleast 2 or more to cause it, if it was a flood type issue.

When mine is on gas (V8 dual fuel) it takes ages to start from cold but I've just accepted that...I suspect that's kind of meant to happen though since it's trying to start on gas...?

It should start on petrol to start then switch to LPG ( The petrol start is just a couple of seconds before the LPG cuts in)
When on dual fuel, make sure you have some petrol as said it starts on petrol.
In my old RRC, I found a weak battery was to blame and it did not crank quick eneough, also maybe timing out? Vacuum advance not working or vapour lock in fuel line as it happens more when hot?
Most drive around with near empty petrol tanks and just use lpg, so all crud get's to clog up injectors from lack of petrol use. A clogged injector will not start too well either.Quote:

I just thought that was how it was set up but I was thinking about switching it to petrol myself each night so it'd be easy to start in the morning. It starts no worries on petrol.
