Over rocky road, I have always found and read skinny blade like tyres are best suited.
Anyhow, glad to hear all is well in the tyre department for you.;)
If you tell Shane at Suspension Stuff what you have on your vehicle i.e. Winch and winch bar, TDI, etc he will spec up the springs to suit. Same for the rears, tell him what weight you have in the back, drawers, tools, recovery gear etc and he will spec those to suit as well.
You will only come unstuck if you change the vehicle after you have fitted new suspension. i.e. fit winch and bar at a later point.

Standard disco springs, bull bar, winch, dual batteries, TDi. I ring Shane, which is a great fella, tell him what I want, tell him what the car has. No probs. Arrives 3 days later. I install it, the front is way too low. No problems, ring Shane up and he sends down the correct springs as there was a problem with part numbers. So no probs again. Measurements to date;
Front is 495mm from the centre of the hub to the guard

So Warren and Klappers, contrary to your little digs, I apparently came unstuck without the addition of any accessories. But surely I was wrong as maybe gremlins or their kindred are putting accessories on the disco without my knowledge as I sleep.
But don't worry though guys, for some reason there are alot of sly little digs at people on this forum, which I find strange, as generally they are unwarranted. So I have become accustomed to them.
But really at the end of the day, it doesn't annoy me THAT much.
No dig/malice intended from my end. I was just trying to be of assistance. I have just fitted my 2nd set of Sus. Stuff springs/shocks (wrote off my first Disco). Found Shane to be very helpful and a wealth of information regarding suspension setups. I guess your post just wasn't clear enough, hence my comments on what was fitted to the vehicle.
My apologies if it was taken the wrong way. My intention on this forum is always to try and provide assistance were possible otherwise I read threads but refrain from posting.

Good idea. As for the 265s. Good size and easy to find. Little bit sluggish with them on in my truck, but i have a roof top tent etc. Nothing that cant be fixed with a few tweaks :-)Quote:
