After putting in a second hand injector pump and picking my 300Tdi from the spanners he asked me if my accelerator pedal was always this hard which i told him yes it was and sometimes it was fine. After he sprayed some wd to tube the cable it seemed alot more looser than it was before but told me to change it over for a newy which i did. Once i installed the new cable she was running like a dream, soft pedal and great smoothness in the pedal. After about 3 to 4 weeks it seems to have gone back to how it was, hard and have to plant it to get any where.
Could things go wrong in the actuall pedal its self to cause this problem. just today have put some wd in the new cable so see how it goes.
Is the cable kinked or catching on something?
Cant imagine it would be full of grunge in that short a time.
(I'm no expert - just guessing)
this is Simo we're talking about, all that Wombat mud gets straight in and gums everything up ..... make sure the little rubber concertina boot thingy is fitted properly, and then every bog hole - imagine what else that Wombat mud is doing to your car........
but most of all enjoy it![]()
This may sound really lame but check around the peddle for any obstruction.
However the other thing to really consider is the cable has stretched and needs to be tightened up a little bit.
