Who best to insure my new Disco with?

Getting me a Disco and need to get it some good insurance...can anyone recommend a good insurance company that might be better priced than some of the generic ones when insuring a 4WD?

I've just gone fire and theft with Just Car at the moment. They are connect with AAMI but let you do more mod's to your car. They also cater for young drivers. You can do Quotes online to see how much it will cost. Mines around $250 as a rating one but not sure what young driver will cost, they usually sting you. Shop around online and see what comes up. It's cheaper to apply online than in person. Another trick is females get a cheaper price. If you have a partner put her as the main driver.

I actually considered getting fire and theft only which I might still do, but since I'm over 25 and my partner isn't I don't know if it would be to my advantage putting her as the main driver Just Car Insurance has seemed like the best so far.

Do you want Good insurance or cheap insurance, I am not sure if they are the same thing.

Every year I shop around and have found ANZ to be cheapest at the moment at $420 p/y full comp at 65% no claim etc.

I guess that ring some companies and go with what you are comfortable with.

Hmm ANZ just quoted me $975 for a year of full comp...I'm 28 years old and never had any sort of claim or anything. They seem just like all the others...I was getting excited there for a minute

I just went with AAMI because I'd heard good report on the way they handle claims.

    '92 disco 3rd party, fire theft $301

I did it over the net. You just fill in the online forms and it gives you a price.

If you know roughly how many k's you do each year, give Pay as you drive insurance a try.

Online quoting. Choose the number of k's you do. Price is very competitive and so is the agreed value for full comp.

For my 94 Three door D1, premium was about $500 full comp, protected rating 1. $400 excess. Insured for 6000 kms.

Wow I just found Virgin do car insurance too...and it's CHEAP!!! That Richard Branson has got his finger in all the pies

It's probably rubbish if you ever have to claim, but god the price is good
