bee utey I am trialing a BIC290 coil "now" not "soon" and got it via Bosh direct so happy it is not a china copy. However that said these Bosch BIC amps are OEM's so it not surprising they don't come fully labeled as you indicate as a concern.....however more to the point isn't one of the challenges to encourage finding cheap "swap outs" and "workarounds" (and just as you have done with the Bosch BIM02 gas amp ) for the benefit of all at this joint.......and not slide into ambivalence, particularly from those who know heaps, like you.

Absolutely. On your recommendation I bought the coil from a wholesaler that deals direct with Bosch so I have no doubt that it is "genuine" as far as it goes. If it is reliable and functional then it is a good thing indeed. Just I have had some bad results with Bosch rebranded stuff in the past, like rotor buttons. The next person who comes in with faulty ignition will be given this option as recommended by the good people on the AULRO forum. I sincerely hope your coil has a long and happy life.
