Can you post a vid or sound clip of the vibration you're referring too. Having spent what feels like a £million on replacing parts, I found lots of things vibrate at these revs. In the meantime try un plugging your AAP sensor on airbox and see if it improves. Your boost will lower to a bar, but boost will come in smoother and progressively, as exhaust gas speed increases. The turbo modulator can be very spikey in operation.

I guess that depends on how many posts per page you have set in your user preferences doesn't it ;) mine is set to 20 posts, whereas default must be 10. perhaps it's better to say 340+ posts?

Max is 40, and that runs to 9 pages now...

all diesels rattle and knock. my td5 has been close to 6000rpm a few times and still flogs the jap diesels that are primitive . try driving a mazda bt50 if you want real vibration. 224,000 in my disco and loving it.:)

It is something different to standard diesel knocking and rattling. Main issue is a droning vibration that afflicts td5 autos at around 2200-2300rpm, and can potentially be cured.

And why is the comment above total Bulldust...

Because the TD5 Rev limiter will cut the engine at 4750 rpm...

Sorted out the TD5 D2 drone:)

Moved onto the D4,no drone at all:D;)

Still havnt read this thread right through yet, but let me tell you about a small vibration on my TD5.
Barely noticable, done 200,00Km, and was looking under the bonnet one day with engine running and heard a rattle. Couldn't believe it, reached in and put my hand on the little plastic cover over the oil filler, lo and behold, no more vibration/rattle. Seemes the foam on the underside has detiorated to the point of not being there anymore.
Problem solved, maybe all you guys should also test this cover for the rattle.
