I thought the spongy brake pedal was a problem with the earlier D2's, I replaced my front rotors with DBA slotted rotors, and the brakes feel good, but I bought cheap pads (transgold) that squeal every time I pull up, it sh--- me to tears, I will replace those with bendix pretty soon.

On the turbo front I cleaned it and drove 1300km home from Vic and it appears to to just be the turbo oil feed and return lines, can I give these a smear of Copper gasket sealer or do I need new lines?
Anyone had a wobble in the front from worn bearings or ball joints?
Also would my brake light stay on until cleared by Nanocom?

Do you mean the steering tie rod end balljoints, or the steering knuckle balljoints. At those k's the latter would be worn out for sure, I didn't get a wobble effect but I did replace them as it was bound to happen eventually. I put a how to up in the Projects and Tutorials section on how to change these.
At about $40 each I may as well do both sets of ball joints when I do the front shocks and springs.Quote:

Just jacked up each side of the Disco and tried to get some movement out of the front wheels with no movement top to bottom or side to side. so I don't think my wobble is from the bearings.
Should there be movement there if the ball joints are stuffed?

You can't really notice a wobble with the wheel jacked up, you need to remove the knuckle then you will notice movement...in the bottom ballpoint especially. What does the wobble feel like, does it happen at a certain speed, when you accelerate brake, does the steering wheel shake or the whole car?
Mainly braking from 110km it will start as a gentle wobble in the steering wheel and the harder I brake the more violent the wobble gets and it is a struggle to hold the wheel until i get below 80 km and then it stops. if I just keep a gentle brake pressure it will stay a gentle wobble down to the 80 kmQuote:

Try getting the wheels balanced first, that would also be a cause. For instance mine has a shocking wobble at the moment just about 80kph. If that doesn't solve it, then it is defiantly the knuckle balljoints. Like I said before with those k's they will be worn out, personally I think every d2's balljoint's should be replaced by the time they get to 210k kms.

Had a wheel balance and alignment done last week. it stopped the wobble at 80 on the way up so it only happens under braking.
looks like its the ball joints.
