    Without turbo

It was a great fun going offroad at high country with new BFG AT Tyres until the turbo hose came just after kinglake otw home. Drove the car without turbo for 15km n fixed it at petrol station.
I have few questons that se of you know the answer:
    1. Is it ok to drive it without turbo like i did?
    2. Does the engine work harder run with no turbo?
    3. I saw some coolant weeping from the bleeding screw when we put the hose back. Does it got to do with driving the car without turbo?

    Thanks

i had a hose come completely off going up a hill,, and allmost stopped dead,, it had no power at all and pooring out smoke,, i pulled over straight away but i dont think it would of goten up this hill with no turbo,, or very slowly in 1st gear,, so man it must of been a slow 15k,

the only prob i can see with running no turbo with a blown hose, like i had was if things got sucked into the intake as there is no longer eny filter,

my guess is that was more to do with the AFM no being in circuit than the turbo not boosting. ecu would have no correlation from the AFM to the amount of actual air going into the engine.

and yes, no airfilter = no good

Yes everythings seems find so far. It wasnot that slow 15k travelling anyway cause we passed all the uphill at kingslake. It was blowing alot smokes few km before we finally stopped n repaired. Onething I am still worried is there was coolant trace n it was still wet around bleed screw when we stopped to repair. i have blown the top raditor hose n small hose behind the turbo once. Is this a sign of head gasket failure? Well im getting presure test this thursday. $100 for presure test, isnt abit too much?

Did the compressor test for a couple of hours. They couldnt find any leaks n head gasket looks fine. However they found old coolant stain arount the water pump. Is this common on d2? They cleaned the stain n will check in a couple of week.
