I am going to install a Dobinsons lift and was wondering if I can remove my Anti Sway Bars at the same time? Front and Rear? 99 D2 V8.
Of course you can, they are only held on by nuts and bolts....
I think the real questions are will it make the handling very bad and will it be legal?
I suspect the handling will suffer and I am sure it won't be legal.
There is no legality issue I am just concerned about the handling.
I'm not saying to do it, but I understand the non-ACE D2's are not too bad with the front bar disconnected. I have not tried it.
Have you thought of running swaybar disconnects for offroading instead?
Cheers

Does disconnecting the sway bars really make a huge diffirence?
Would front disconnects work with a ACE D2?

To answer your question, no, it won't make a lot of difference in the handling, I removed my front and rear sway bars and really didn't feel much difference, the front swaybar does restrict travel though, but the rear makes no difference at all, so I re-installed it, I was going to re-install my front swaybar and put disconnects in it, but haven't got around to it as yet.
