Mate I stuck in Dobinson's GT (the stiff shocks they make ) into my 02 and initially thought they were too stiff and in a week or 2 I was over that feeling and I love them - I have lived with them for about 1 year at a guess and I have never been able to fade them and the ride and handling is excellent - better than stock by a way and certainly better than they way the stockers were by the time they were 7 years old!

I just used the bushes that Dobinsons sent.

    Cheers

I am using these ones not sure if they are the GT.

I was thinking about the Bilstiens but went with these for a bit firmer ride with the 500km on the back stuff a week.

Hoping to get them by the end of the week.

I am amassing a bit pile of bits, think i need to have a working bee on the beast. we now call him Barry. I think he is a barry for sure.

    Cheers

Hi Slunnie, EFS shock, the bush was mounted to the pin heat shrinked onto it and it moved sideways causing the shock to have no bush... The bush is rubber. They replaced the shock.
    Springs are king.

Is that for the front lower bush on a Disco2? If so I'd change it to a one piece bush and preferably poly. Same with the rear lower. The rubber ones don't last too long.

Yes was for the front lower on my D2.
I will talk to them about replacing with Poly.
    Thanks,
    Aaron.

One of the keys to fitting suspension and bushes is to no tighten then untill the car is back on its wheels and settled to the normal drive position. you can kill a bush instantly by tensioning the nuts while the wheels are hanging free. Once you drop the car back down it rips the bush as it lowers to the ground.

I even lower the car and drive up the street and back again with loose retaining bolts on the bushes to make sure that it has settled properly.

    Just my thoughts.

    Hi there,
having gone through 3 sets of radius arm-to-chassis-bushes (RBX101730) in the last 2 years
-OEM originals, lasted since 1998 till 2009
-Blue box ones. Feb 2009 till oct 2010
-Another ones, I asked for OEM but got another ones (not blue box, or they swapped content box), oct 2010, still fine but the truck pulls to the right on heavy braking. Ball joints and steering arms are new.

Bushes were changed some time ago and the firts weeks the improvement could be felt drastically, but as months go by one can feel the sloppiness in the bush.

So to make a long story short. Genuine? Or the new polybushes radius arm to chassis one? Seems pretty well engineered

    Has anyone tested it?

    Front Radius Arm to Chassis

    Best regards and thank you
