As I am in the middle of giving the Brakes the once over. I have worked out the the ABS isn't working. as in it locks up. I believe I had a warp in the rotor. but I wouldn't think this would lock up the fronts if the ABS was working. Now I have worked out that the ABS light doesn't come on at ignition.

What are your thoughts? do you think the globe has been removed from the Dash?

Do the HDC and traction control lights come on when you turn on the ignition? If not, the globes may have been removed or the lights blanked out to disguise the 3 amigo's issue that are common on D2's.

yeah i had the same issue with mine, someone had removed the lense off of the instrument cluster, then removed the needles and dials, and put black tape over the 3 warning lights, can you imagine how happy i was to find this non factory accessory?

traction control light comes on and off again on ignition and flashes on and off as I would expect when it is doing it's job under rapid cornering. what is the HDC?

As a first check.
See if the ABS system fuse is not blown.

Wheres the fuse? Engine bay or under dash?
