    D2a V8 Died (flame out)

    Hi Guys
last night whilst out driving home, my disco gave a great big cough and died.(the cough felt like the tranny fell out , but i'm guessing that it was power loss then regain and loss again) all lights on dash lit up TC,HDC,M+S were flashing, engine light on. pulled up , turned ignition off, back on again engine light stays on & M+S flashing as well as gear position indicator & it won't start, turns over but no start.so there began the 10km walk home to get the 'lux to tow it somewhere safer for the night. I'm guessing crank angle sensor.
Any of your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks Tony

    Thats great Tony,,

I've read of ones dying before but its not common.
(Thought maybe one or two Pro's might have answered)

and I was hoping YOU might have tried replacing it,,

    Thanks for the reply Pedro
thought about it, but as usual not enough time and the persistant nagging of the handbrake.
