    ignition won't turn

    anyone had this issue? the key will not turn in the ignition, its jammed tried the 'wiggle the steering wheel' thing to no avail (the steering lock has engaged as well)
    have squirted some WD40 and also blasted air into the barrel in case its just dirt/sand - still won't turn
    supposed to be heading up the beach tomorrow with the kids - so would like to get this sorted tonight if possible ... any ideas???

    and then I did a search - should be the other way round right ?

    I've given it a light tapping and its now turned - have left the key in and locked up with the other set - so thanks to the previous thread and contributors ...

    where would I go in Perth for a refurb - northern suburbs as a starting point ?

    Mate - now that you have WD40 in it you cant use the proper stuff - the graphite powder (grey crap) that you get from Locksmiths....its great and saved me after mine caused dramas. Mine played up 4-5 years ago and never since since the powder goes in every 6 months or so.

    I used these people A1 Locksmiths - Automotive Keys Specialists about 2 weeks ago. On site visit to my residence within an hour of calling - standard fixed charge of ~$240

    Maybe cheaper if your still mobile and can get to them. Ring them and discuss it, they seem to be very aware of the problem.
