Thread: Heated seats not working???

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with my heated drivers seat on my Disco2.
I read somewhere that they aren't much good and thought they may not make much difference, but after finally sitting in the passenger seat the other day and nicely toasting my butt - I know that I SHOULD be feeling something!

Thanks to a great club member I now have a copy of the 'Rave' CD but not having much luck to help fix it - or find something within the many pages!

I have done the basics - checked the fuse in the main fuse box - ok - and under the seat - ok - and unplugged and replugged the loom at the back of the seat (which I believe is the correct one) and still no joy!

I'm hoping that someone out there has had a similar issue and fixed it?

check the resistance of the pas side one with a multi meter and then compair it to the ds one.
if there the same or simmilar resistance and the fuses are good check for power at the seat plug.
ide say that the element as died.

my pass side one works as it should but my ds one gets way to hot to sit on in one spot...
