I used a $9 nylon bread board, a small hobby type saw and simple bolts. Make sure only nylon robs against the wall of the channel so countersink the bolt head properly.
On the thread I used two washers to allow rotation and lock tite on the nut.
The job took one hour plus buying the bread board.
So easy a city boy could do it!

At least some of the new / replacement regulators that you buy these days actually come with "nylon" (it's actually HDPE or UHDPE) slides almost identical to what you have made, so you're definitely on the right track. :thumbsup:

Not sure if all suppliers have replaced rollers with this idea, but the new regulator sitting in its box out in my shed - supplied by Rovacraft in Perth - looks pretty much identical to what you have done.

Good idea. Just have to be careful you have shaped them appropriately otherwise the motor will be doing more work than normal and the next thing that will need replacing is the motor.

The brass option is a tad expensive.

Does anyone know if I can just pull the back drivers side window motor and fit it to the front? I have the same issue with the rollers as everyone but it seems the motors has been damaged as it just wont drive the actuator with any weight on it and makes a rather similar noise to something slipping inside the motor. As its only a tow vehicle for the boat it doesnt matter if the rear doesnt work and much better for the driver side front to operate. Any comments appreciated.

Yes, you can use the rear motor (from the same side) on the front. If you need another motor send me a PM.
