    IC inserts

    hi all,
have been told by somebody on the road between darwin and broome that there are silicone inserts available which fit inside your existing intercooler hoses.
can anyone advise if this is so... and if so.. are they a feasable option to replacing the hoses completely.. and where can one purchase them?

    thanks..dave

probably refering to replacement hoses as can be bought from a few places both local and overseas, well worth the coin.

I got the silicon replacement hoses. They were easy to fit and hold there shape better than the old rubber ones!Noticed improved performance right away.

    thanks freedriver,
can you advise where you got your hoses.. are they specifically designed for the disco or are they general hoses to fit several vehicles.
I really would like to pick up a set asap as i'm currently in kalgoorlie and heading back to vic in the next day or two (towing a 6.5m van) and it would be nice to have a little more go

    thanks.. dave

Dave, I'm in Kalgoorlie and have them on mine. Doubt if there's anywhere here that would have them, but you can usually get them up overnight from either Rovacraft or Jordan Rovertech in Perth. I got mine from Rovertech, and it consisted of a straight steel pipe with silicone hose bends either end - about a 10 minute job to replace the entire original hoses etc.

I'll PM you my mobile if you need a hand.
    Cheers .........
