    Coating turbo and manifold.

Hi all. I have a loud whistle coming from the engine bay . I am not sure if it is the exaust manifold but sounds like it .I want to get it coated along with the turbo ,to reduce under bonet temps.

Before i pull it apart Can any one recoment where to get it done in the perth area?
    Thank you.

    I looked into this.
    Was fairley expensive.
You need to contact any of the Drag Performance shops for contacts.Chris Mills Performance etc.

You need to cut the webbing out to prevent the manifold from warping again.Done mine, its an easy DIY job.A search should find PLENTY of info and pics here on AULRO.

GET IT DRILLED FOR AN EGT AT THE SAME TIME,wish I did!!!!!

    Andy,,
has the forum decided on the "best" place for the EGT probe?
I believe there are a couple of differing ideas?

I thought in the EGR blank plate for ease of installation, but it only is monitoring the 1 cylinder. There is plenty of space on the TD5 manifold where the turbo bolts on to fit a probe.

If your fitting the probe upstream from the turbo into the cast iron manifold then you obviously need to remove the manifold to fit it? Otherwise there would be a lot of metal frags in the system.... If thats the case maybe a good time to coat the manifold....
