dead battery can't open the doors

gday havent driven my truck for awhile and now the main batt is flat , so flat that i carnt even open the doors manually i have a dual batt setup but the override button in on the dash, is there anyway to open the doors mechanicaly or pop the bonnect without getting in, im trying to back feed thorugh an anderon plug on the back which feeds the aux batt but i dont think ill get continuity through the red arc solenoid due to being unable to back feed, anyone had this problem?

Why can't you use the key to open the drivers door?

Jack it up and clip a battery charger (positive) onto the starter motor positive battery wire, and negative to the block.

If you know your wiring you could put 12v to the trailer harness to get things alive again.

Mine has gone flat more than once when I've been away working up north, but I've never had any problems opening the driver's door with the key.
    Cheers .........

except when the alarm goes off,,

but the flat battery probably negates that issue

    Nathand,
If u have left the vehicle sit a long period (mine was any period longer than 3 days), Are you sure the vehicle has not just gone to sleep!?
Early D2's had this as a normal function/operation.
Basically the alarm ECU would go to sleep & not respond to the plip so as to save battery power.
To Wake vehicle up, you would stick your key into the drivers door, pop the unlock nib & then lock using the plip & then unlock to get into the vehicle.
The initial turn of the key would awaken the alarm ECU & a press from the plip would confirm it & everything would work as per normal.
    HTH.
    Cheers.

I went out to my disco tonight to find that the battery was dead flat, there are no lights whatsoever on the dash. I have had the battery go flat a few times but never to the point that the doors won't open, what a pain. I will try Beeutey's tip tomorrow and see if I can get her going again.
    Cheers Matt

Last year whilst in the USA, I watched a woman try to unlock her car so the rear seat passengers could get out. She was becoming agitated as the remote wouldn't work. I assume the child safety locks were set.

I asked her why she didn't use the key. I think she hadn't thought of that.
