    Hi Paul,

Got egg on my face now...just rang a couple of DOT engineers.

The previous info was only about 6-7 months old, but since then the engineers have had a couple of accidents with 4wds tipping over in the swerve test.

The policy in WA is now 50mm max....no approvals .....damn should have got it done when I first asked.....

Maybe in another six months it will change again.....

I've had the original ST which chipped too easily, then the STT which was great and agree with Roberto except for the noise. Latest set is ST Maxx which has the carcas of the STT (ie strong, robust) with the low noise and durability of the ST. No chipping, good overall performance in all conditions. Very happy now.
