I did a 2" lift (stiffer coils front, spacers for air springs rear) without installing extended shocks.
However, soon after, I had to install extended rear shocks due to them topping out. The standard shocks on the front have never been a problem so I haven't changed them. :)
Thats exactly why you don't have an issue as the shock is what limits the axle travel, fit extended shocks and the front prop will hit the crossmember.

What I meant was that I have never had the shocks fully extend on the front. Maybe I'm not working them hard enough.
