My screen was replaced a few months after I got the vehcile so I can't tell you if it came out of the factory that way sorry.
Even in the WQet season mine does not leak like you are saying yours does so I assume it is not causing a leak on mine.
mine looks exactly the same as stuuu's
and I have no leaks. don't have a sunroof though.
