    Water Tanks.

I was wanting to put in some water tanks, I don't have ACE or SLS so I have quite a bit of room up under each side of the car, does anyone make water tanks to go in these positions?

Yes, Long Range Automotive make them from Stainless Steel to go in those positions. 50 litres per side.

I have fitted an LRA sill tank (fuel) fitted to the R/H side of my D2 & am very happy with it. it has done the CSR 1 & 1/2 times with no dramas.
Off road equipment are the WA dealers for them.

PM me if you want to have a look before you buy one.

$900 a side... How would you set up a water pump to get water out to the rear of the car? Are 12 volt water pumps costly? Best to see a auto electrician? Thanks for the help Slunnie...

wouldn' tit be better to get a couple of water bladders and lay them where you want when your going on a trip and when trip over remove them car avoids all the hassles of tainted stale water in permanent tanks and reduces weight on vehicle

SOmone here has a thread showing where they have welded caps onto a length of stainless pipe, and filled it with water, then mounted them beside the chassis rails. **** loads cheaper than 900 per side.

See if I can find it.

    Edit: Found it....Bundalene.....bloody good idea

    Hey Aaron.
Do you intend using your D2 as a 2 seater whilst touring/FISHING????
If so Phil633 uses a bladder on the floor of the backseats in his D2.Much like a large wine cask bladder.

    Hi Andrew and cartm58,

Yep thats the idea! I have seen the bladders and I like them I was thinking that to get the water away under the car would save some room however it is exsie! I like the idea of the S/S pipe Hamish however I am not too good on the welder I think it is beyond my capabilities! (and I have no shed)

Will have to think about it some more but thanks for the input all!

    Water containers

    Aaron,
when I did the CSR in July this year I put 6 square 10 Litre plastic water containers across the floor behind the front seats. is a snug fit with the rear seats out & you can have a tap on each outer one so access to the water is easy & they can be rotated once empty & easy to grab if you have to take water away from the car in a hurry.

    Roger
