Haha thats awesome a D2 in tuff truck! In that case your gonna need portals mate! and a set of 40's. So i take it by that goal the lift etc that you are running now will be going in favor of a 4-link rear and some remote shocks? Or maybe even coilovers all round?

I guess its true what you and slunnie are saying about a 37" plus it being a bias tire its gonna be 100% traction.

I see your on Pirate4x4 so you should have a look at this guys build up if you havent already: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...3470&highlight=

It doesnt get much sexier :P

yeah seen that build it is awesome but my plan is to tube the whole back up to the rear doors so having no depature angle putting raidiator in the rear and raising the fuel cell up and using fox shoxs all round with a rangie A frame rear

Thats an awesome truck, but I'm not sure 100" and that much combined lift would work at Tuff Truck! That'd need to be out at somewhere around 120" or a fraction more I would have thought.
    Cheers

to further the ease of doing the toyo swap after what Simon (slunnie) recommeneded this is direct feed back from head engineer for ARB lockers
QUOTED: "If you have one of our newer style Toyota 8 inch diffs (ARB #RD132) then you can swap a Rover 24 spline gear set (ARB #728H141) straight into it and then plug your Rover/Maxi shafts into the diff.

We are seeing this modification performed more and more lately as people report higher ring gear strength, and some are using high pinion Toyota diffs to claim the drive shaft angle advantage in order to get that extra big lift."

So i am sourcing my toyo lockers from ARBĀ® Toyota 8" Air Locker - #RD132 Diff Air Locker 4 or 6 Cyliner (All) in the USA so much cheaper and getting my side gears from my local ARB they are expensive $800 for the pair ,but i will be able to sell the brand new toyo ones quite easily(i hope) this for now will allow me to run my ashcroft/longfield axels cv up front and still run my maxi in the rear

overall this set up should not be to expensive for now untill we finish making my complete housings to swap in
    cheers Kelvin

    Well done Kelvin.

Hang on to those side gears. Sometime not to far down the track I'll be putting Patrol centres (at least the front) into LC60 axles and will need to swap the side gears out from Nissan ones to Toyota ones!
    Cheers

Okay after a late night call to the Usa East coast gear supply Drivetrain Specialists East Coast Gear Supply they are going to make up my arb lockers over there and ship them out ,by doing this is saving me over $1300 it is quite amazing that a Australian company ARB will not make this up here but are willing to charge you almost $1600 dollars to buy locker and part to exchange into the locker and a USA company will happliy build your locker to your spec and ship it out to you for just over a $1000
****ed off ARB lets make the locker here in australia ship it to USA then rebuild side gears and ship it back still cheaper than buying the locker here before rebuilding it
    angry
    My 2cent rave
sorry Simon can not justify getting them here
