I had my windscreen replaced a few months ago, and after the first rain a damp patch appeared a the roof lining at the top left hand side of the windscreen since repaired. It seemed it was the seal between glass and body.

I had my windscreen replaced by the insurance company. I fought for nearly a month for a genuine screen as I had heard there was issues with the non genuine ones. I took the disco in to get the screen changed only to find that Land Rover had sent a D3 screen instead. I was lucky the guy had a non genuine one on hand to get me going. The genuine screen is nearly 5mm thicker than the non genuine. They are also acoustic glass and have some uv resistance built in. The non genuine has none of this. I have noticed more wind and engine noise with the non genuine screen. Hopefully my genuine one will turn up this week.

If you can be there, watch how they put the plastic surronds back on.
They are a pain in the arse, and easily broken. And if broken, or the clips bent, it wont sit with a tight seal, letting noise, water, dirt under the trim.

I had windscreens obrien change mine 9 months ago. 3 months ago I wanted to fix the problem you are describing. I went to remove the curronds, and found that they had just glued them in place, so they broke when I removed them.

I got new ones, for about $75 each, and it took me bloody ages to get one of them on due to the damage done by previous incorrect fittings.

Driving home in the rain today it became quite clear that there was a gap in the sealant.... it was hitting me in the face after spitting out just right of centre on the dash. Im tipping that is where the air noise is also coming from.

For those who are interested - window was replaced free of charge. THe sealant had not taken to the glass in a spot on the drivers side dash.

From my dealings with this guy, I would certainly recommend him.

He is mobile so works all over the place but mostly in the inner and western suburbs of Melbourne

    I too had this issue.
The non genuine screen isnt exactly the same shape as the real one.
If they dont glue it in properly with PLENTY of sikaflex they dont seal.
Mine was screaming at the 2 top corners.
