    Diff oil level

G'day All,trust everyone's bonza ,while changing my diff oils today I found the 1.6 L amount stated in the haynes "bible"??? is nowhere near the filler bung ,on my old D1 I filled to bung level as the book also says to do?.Should I fill to overflow, about 2 L,or stick to 1.6 L?,also both diffs had filthy looking oil for only 20000 km,no harsh stuff or water crossings, both breathers ok ,I"m glad I didn't wait till rediculous factory service km.I'm using castrol syntrax 75-90 for difs and t /case,what oil would you recommend for the manual box??.thanks again Ladies and Gents of the forum!!

Yeah mate, fill till it comes out the filler hole on level ground as has been sugested. Currently I am using up my supply of Caltex MTF94 that was the OEM oil for the R380 because I bought a 20 lt drum. They don't make it anymore. When I start lugging around the van next year, I will change to Castrol SynTrans 75W/85. Seems like the guff.....
