    That was my point. Transmissions dont have spiral bevel gears hence the hypoid rating required for diffs. And MTF94 You will find its a GL4 75W80 rated oil, not GL5 and at least 80W90 which is for hypoid gears.

    I wouldnt leave it in there.....

    Sorry for the confusion mate, my fault. The MTF94 is in my R380 5 speed manual g/box and not in my diffs.

    G-box oil

    Hi Robbo,I ended up getting Syntrans 75-80 for g-box and Syntrax 75-90 for diffs and tr=case,all in 1L bottles,or you buy 20L for $550.00wish they made 4L bottles?Tr-case ex-tended sump is on ,test drive tomorrow,thanks all for your info,cheers
