We are going to be selling our D2 also, like you, ours is fully set up for remote travel, never really been concerned about repairers in remote areas though and from all indications from my experiences travelling with all makes and models, it doesn't really matter what you drive now.

Good luck with the new vehicle, what ever it will be, we are leaning towards a D3, or even a late Defender, 09 on, still reseaching:D
