If you've got the security code maybe try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so & see if that does the trick
Hello all,
Just wondering if you can help me with my land rover stereo. The unit itslef works but the lights internally are all blown or buggered as at night even with lights on it doesnt light up.
Is it easy to fix the bulbs or is there something im suppose to check.
Thanks,
Tony

It will most likely be the Australian Fit "Eurov(p)ox" radio.
The Lights are actually L.E.D's soldered to a board, So the unit will need to be taken apart & new L.E.D's to be fitted/soldered in.
Cheers
Hi got the same prob will watch and see if there is an easy fix if not will keep using the $2.00 torch
Hi Tony,
If it is an Eurovox then I have some pictures here on how I replaced the blown globes: Entering Security code on Eurovox radio in D2

Hi Biggin,
I first tried the Jaycar globes but found the 100mA globes to be too bright compared to the other globes in the dash, they really standout.
12V Mini Lamps - Small - Jaycar Electronics
I ended up using 30mA globes from:
Westec Electronics Pty Ltd
Electronic Parts--W'salers & Mfrs - Balcatta, WA
(08) 9240 2233
146 Balcatta Rd, Balcatta WA 6021, Australia
These were a fraction dimmer than the originals, next time I would probably souce some 50mA globes.
The globes are generically known as 3mm wire tail globes (aka grain of wheat).
As per p38arover, on the east coast you can't go past WES components.
