Found this while poking around online looking for rear bars- can't imagine how much this would cost but it's worth a look if only to dream!

Lots of work done to that. I don't agree with extended bump stops and lowered top shock mounts though.
Shocks arent just lowered, they are also repositioned with more angle. This allows longer axle travel with the same length shock and also re rates the shock to have slower travel speed. You just need to be accurate with the final placement in relation to axle travel or you can end up with tje shock rolling against the square of the mount pins if they are eye/eye mounts.
Personally, i prefer to use longer travel shocks on extended mounts along the original geometry line.
Really want one of those overhead pods tho!!!!

BLOODY FANTASTIC but did no one tell them that you can get a 32" tyre onto the original spare mount by TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN???
I like the roof pod too, but shame there is no room for a UHF in it.
I wonder what this whole 'upgrade' cost the poor man in New York? I'm betting he could have bought a bloody nice D3 when it was all said and done. AND by the look of it, there was no upgrade to diff/transfer/gearbox breathers..... did I miss something?
D4 SDV6, a blank canvas
if they do that to a weak d2
wounder what they do to defenders![]()
32" may well fit but 305/70R16 = 33" and they wont fit on a flipped mount with standard rear bar. Modded mount also allowed for spare up to 35".
D3's were probably just released when this upgrade was done, think difference in price would have been substantial, even after mods done.
I really like the compressor and tank install, tho compressor would get quite hot in there.
End result looks pretty good.
