    Love Shannons

    Hi all

Not offten insurance companies get a good rap but were is there chance.

My Disco and the Wifes Holden Zafira are both insured with Shannons. yesterday I was doing the wipper snipping and then went to moove the Zafira and drivers widow is shattered, held together by the window tint.

4:00 sunday afternoon I called Shannons claims and the once a year free windsreen can be a windscreen or window glass. how good is that.

Just take it into the windsreen guy and give hime the policy number and it's done.

    Love shannons.

    Cheers

    Matt

Shannons were the only people who'd give me a quote on a UniMog, and they have been fine with huge mods on my WRX and a few other 'unusual' vehicles I've owned. I think they are pretty flexible from my experience.

I had a old Merc with them and have the Golf too.

They seem to insure most cars just are very careful who for.
If you have too many speeding fines, they won't touch you.

My friend has his Camaro SS with them for $600 pa.
Its insured for being driven rarely up to 12 times a year, locked up in locked garage and locked with alarm in garage. No other company would even think about that car.

They are a true enthusiasts insurer.

Gday all, have my bike, disco, wifes focus & house insured with them very happy. Had to get both the disco& focus lh front windows replaced last year when the whole street got done, no problems. They will insure modified vehicles. just make sure when you tell them about the bullbar & winch that they put it on the right vehicle, my aprilia road bike suddenly had them fitted!!!!!!

I've got both my 4WDs insured with Shannons and both are heavily modified.
    - F+R lockers & MD halfshafts (on both)
    - 4.11 R+P gears on one,
    - winches (on both),
    - turbocharged+intercooled engine + LT95A gearbox & PTO drive on one,
    - engine / gearbox conversion on the other,
    - non-standard springs and shocks on both,
    - long range tanks, rocksliders, bucket seats, compressor, tank guards, wheel flares on one
    - the 90 is a personal import, so nothing to match it to in the "standard database"

Both are insured for agreed value which I'm happy with. The guys were great in explaining limit of cover as it applies to various 4WD situations, and I felt they were giving me stright talk, no marketing BS or vagueness. For any question they didn't have an answer for they got back to me the next day. I have not (yet) had to make any claims, but from experience so far, I have no problems recommending them over run of the mill insurers I've dealt with in the past.
