99 V8 ABS problem solved !!!!!
I am very pleased with myself
. My younger brother's car has had 3 amigos and brake problems since he got it 5 years ago. A few experts have had a shot at fixing it, but didn't succeed. SO.....
Falconworks (US supplier) supplied shuttle valve and switch repair kit (Wabco bit) landed for A$171. 3L Dot 4 brake fluid.
Removed modulator, replaced shuttle valve seals and switch set, replaced modulator, power bled modulator circuits a la "The Good Oil" (thanks Graeme), bled the brake circuits as normal, and
D DAH.
A beautiful thing. Out with Nanocom, select Disco 2 SLABS, read faults (find that faults registers are jam packed), erase faults and NO AMIGOS.
The best bit - the brakes are sensational.
It took 4 hours go to whoa. Chuffed.
Cheers

Why did you go the full monty on the ABS, why not go option B?
I think you'll find in about 80 - 120k more you'll get the bro's back. Maybe not. (Pretty sure the ABS is just bad design and not sure this has been addressed).
Sounds like a bargin price though considering what a 'professional' would charge.

Andrew, I'm just a bit bleary about Hummer fixes. Perhaps it will be back as a result of compromised design, but who knows?
Thanks for the input.

No worries. I have done the operation but not entirely sure it's perfect either.
Everything works as per normal but on the odd occassion I hear the three chimes which would go off when the 3 amigos came on.
Both the fully monty as you have done and Option B are relatively easy.
