    dash / instrument lights

I have lost my instrument light (02 TD5 Disco). Have looked at all the bulbs in the instrument cluster and they all look fine, replaced 2 of the 3 T10 bulbs as I had them on hand, but still no luck - if one is blown does it affect all of them (like some x-mas lights)?
    All warning lights work.
Have had a look at the fuses, but can not figure out what fuse is for these dash lights - any one know? Is the fuse under bonnet or under the dash?
    Any other things to try?

It's going to sound silly but have you checked all your park lamps are working?
Had a complaint years ago that was the same, the trailer plug had shorted blowing the fuse.
Owner thought the lights were working because at night the headlamps lit the road

Same deal with mine, trailer plug fuse, lost all dash lights except the warning lights and you'll probably find that you've got no Parkers down the right hand side.
Trailer fuse I believe it will be.
In the process now of restoring my father in laws trailer complete with LED's

Will check out the parkers tonight and trailer fuse.
Another weird thing was my wife was driving, made a turn (I think to the Right) and they started to work. But after stopping, turning vehicle off and back on again they have stopped working again. Sounds like a loose wire to me some where or possible a loose parker globe.

Were the dash light flashing too?
Might be a loose wire in the trailer plug.

As stated, if the right hand side parking / side marker lights do not work, then its possibly the 10 amp fuse no 33 in the interior fuse box. Also check fuse no 11 (10 amp also)

I have checked all the fuses related to lights + Aux , all are okay. I still have the side markers. And all globes look good, have replaced front parker globes just because I could.
No, the dash lights did not flash.
Have no front parker or taillights, or dash lights.
My guess now is a faulty switch, bad ground or broken / disconnected wire.

Have it booked in at the Auto electrician for Wed.

    gunked up switch

The verdict is: Gunked up switch. The auto electrian took the switch apart and cleaned it up and all is working again.
    Thanks for all the suggestions.
