Where did you mount your uhf in you TD5. I have a Uniden uh088 and am wondering where to put it?

i put mine up on the roof in the centre, just infront of the panel that usually has the sunroof switches in it but my unit is a GME 3200 so its pretty small and as a bonus i just tuck the mic into the map shelf, it keeps the centre console uncluttered!

G'evening All, I did the same as Bluelight, GME 3200, slung it under the
overhead console. It doesn't allow the sun visor to close fully to the roof
but still folds out of the line of sight. Hooked the mike immediately to the
left of the visor, just to the right of the central section of the console. Nice 'n neat.
Leaves me plenty of option for fitting of the Codan.

I just wedged my GME3200 in the overhead map shelf - been there 8 years now and hasn't budged.

GME TX4600 bolted straight to top of the dash (just left of instrument cluster).
It is easy to see and reach and the handset cant hit me in the head if it comes of its clip.

Thanks, Unfortunately I cant put mine under the dash/around steering wheel as my leg will hit it I think so I think I'll go with the overhead console at this stage.
Thanks for all the replies

I bought a dash pod and mounted it in that. Easy to read and use without taking eyes too far off the road. Pod doesn't obstruct road vision due to high seat position. Got my pod from Dept of Interior (consoles.com.au). Pod gives you room to put other things, too. I've put a voltmeter and switch for main/auxilliary battery.
