Three bongs on start up and all appropriate dash lights go out--- three bongs on driving and bingo--three amigos (this has become more prevalent and will probably need the upgrade on the abs valve etc. soon). You could test the ABS or TC or HD after your next three bong experience as the appearance of the three amigos means these systems have been disabled -- a reason Landrover should have recalled for the upgrade --- not happy when this happens on a long trip and wet roads.

On my car I have expereinces the following:
Had three amigos and would reset with the ignition. Diagonised SVS. This is very common. Did Option B. Resolved the light issue. Prior to this never experienced the amigos on start up and generally only came on after 5 minutes travelling and very intermitently and typically more in summer.
However since completing Option B about 2 months ago I have had the 3 chimes on start up about 6 times - no more since.
Everything works as it should (TC/ABS/HDC) and as FISHGUTS says it's in the good book (?) - Don't know what the good book is but sounds impressive. Also the TC/ABS/HDC worked when the 3 lights were on prior to Option B.
Haven't experienced it while in motion though. Maybe you just need to bleed the brakes.

Since no warning lights come on while it chimes when in motion, I'm leaning away from the amigos, and thinking maybe a fluid leak and/or air in the brake line.
But it's still an uneducated guess.

It's going to sound silly but is the HDC button playing up?
I get 3 bongs if in high range, not that I use it.
Just a passing thought.
I would say the next step is to get the fault codes read on the ABS (SLABS). The Hawkeye, if you can get your hands on one, will also give you live readings of the fault codes as you drive.Quote:

Back on topic, drove all the way home tonight, and not even a peep from the dash.
I think I have had the three chimes on start up a handfull of times. You get the three chimes when you lock/unlock the CDL. Also for the HDC apparantly but i've never used it.

I get the 3 bongs on startup everytime, AS LONG as I don't start until AFTER the pre-flight check has completed (all the dash lights have gone out ... seatbelt light is the last, THEN start, and get 3 bongs ... everytime).
... but by that time I'm past driving ... just sit there and stare out the windscreen ... where was I going ? ...

There's your problen ... it IS the 3 Amigoes, it's just that they are soooooo wasted from bonging on intermittently that they couldn't be bothered showing the lights!Quote:
