I find it very difficult to understand the rationale behind this.
After having your stereo knocked off, does it really make any difference whether the thief is able to use it or not?
I can just imagine them at the pub trying to flog a LR stereo to the bar flys.:p
The market must be huge.

I keep my radio code and EAK number stored in my mobile phone contacts. It would be a pain to require the EAK only to have it filed away safely at home.:eek:
