    After having your stereo knocked off, does it really make any difference whether the thief is able to use it or not?
    I can just imagine them at the pub trying to flog a LR stereo to the bar flys.

    I keep my radio code and EAK number stored in my mobile phone contacts. It would be a pain to require the EAK only to have it filed away safely at home.
