I did the power fold upgrade on my D2 and am glad I did it.

    It requires:

    - power fold mirror units as these have additional motors and wiring
    - power fold ECU
    - switch unit with up/down
    - Additional wiring added to door harness.

The body harness will have the necessary wiring included.

The power fold mirrors I got from eBay had the additional door harness wiring for the power fold included, but the other wiring cut. This meant releasing the power fold wires from the donor harness and plugging the wires into the existing door connectors and taping to the harness. It's a bit fiddly but easier than pulling the entire harness out.

Power Fold ECU goes in the passenger footwell. There are existing mounting studs behind the panel.

The switch is an easy swap and the harness should have the required wiring.

    cheers
    Paul

Many thanks Paul. I might do the mod then...! Talk about giving the old girl a tart up!

    Cheers

PS. The wheel has dark wood veneer finish top and bottom with black leather...I am not usually a fan of that, but it looks good (out of the car at least...). I might even balance it up with the passenger wood trim, but leave the rest, including centre console black.

Bloody hell...now I am thinking of adjustable headlights as well...where will it end...I am in HSE nirvana! Still keeping old D2's going strong is what it is about I suppose!

Also, the steering wheel has no volume controls or cruise control buttons. I am pretty sure these can be retro-installed pretty easily. Can anyone confirm?

    Any advice is appreciated.
