oil leaking from small hole?
Hi guys,
On the TD5 i have oil leaking from the small hole just under the vacuum module where the intercooler hose meets the intake manifold. The hole is actually on the cast section that looks like a throttle body.
Is this normal?
Cheers. Michael.

Replace with an EGR removal kit.
Will prevent a lot of other problems too.

is it the only place oil is leaking from? remember, this is a LANDROVER..... if thats the only place oil is leaking from, you have MAJOR problems in terms of running out of oil.....
seriously though, no, its not normal

Believe it or not it is the only place oil leaks from. Im assuming if oil is leaking from the egr valve housing then it will be leaking boost pressure too?
I havent seen inside the housing yet but im guessing it will be restrictive.
I might arrange getting a bypass pipe made up out of plate and exhaust pipe and welding them together. Im going to block the egr at the exh. man this weekend.
