That might be true in some instances, but the scary thing is that it was at Melbourne Land Rover when the "clunk" was getting "repaired".

In both instances, check your front and rear roll bars are tight. Bushes might also be worth checking.
Given that it's happening when engaging reverse and only happens once, it might be worth checking your prop shafts for any free play too.

I would suggest front anti roll bars as well, very common issue and always provides a nice "clunk" when worn.
Your Watts link clunks when worn, shake the rear of the car hard and if worn you will hear it.Panard rod bushes for the front give off the same noise.
