    jumping out of high range

our td5 has started coming out of high range under de-accelaration general around town driving is ok. It is happening when when coming down from highway speeds, after it has come out it takes a while to get it to settle down again it continues to creep out.

I had the same problem with my 2000 D2 5 years ago on the gibb river road, I shortened the rod that actuates the centre diff lock by approx 10mm and it fixed the problem. Might be worth a look DISCOZOOK. "Original shoddy install by Adelaide's only Land Rover dealer at the time 8 yrs ago when i baught her". [ centre diff lock actuated when put in to low ratio, so the rod being to long stoped high ratio from being fully mesched when CDL fully disengaged ].
    Good luck

Happened to my wife today as well.

She had been driving around the farm in low and the lever jumped out a couple of times when she was in high going into town. Each time it was when she slowed from 110. I feel she didn't quite have the lever back into high. She said the last time it popped out it "clunked" a little going back in and didn't come out again.

Something I'll need to keep an eye on.

    Cheers,
    Nova
