20% power increase? 15-20% increase in torque?
I find that highly unlikely.
Interrupting the wiring loom from the engine to the ECU?
I find that somewhat concerning.
All for 420 pounds. That's not cheap.
A good rule of thumb is to look at how many people have these installed on their cars. None that I know of.
Your safest bet is to go with the tried and tested formulas. In this case having your ECU chipped and potentially a better intercooler to cope with the increases in engine temp when you're pushing it.

Ahh... I see its a 2001 from another post...
You're looking at a better solution to upgrade your ECU...
20% more is easy with ECU upgrade..
In an early vehicle (yours) an ECU exchange is required...
They run to around $575.00
