    D2 door tops

I have been coming across quite a few Series2 Discos with rust developing in the window frames, Some are so bad they are ready to break as can be seen in one of the pics.

I sprayed Lanolin type spray on ours years ago and they appear to be OK. I have re-applied this again, I would recommend checking and applying a corrosion inhibitor, there are a lot out there.

The car from which these came was a country car – ACT, so I was quite surprised to see the level of corrosion ( might have spent time on Fraser)

    Gday Erich,

Mine had a visable rust bubble on the rear drivers side door, under the window rubber, about the size of a 50c piece.

I checked the others but they were fine, I was told by that the doors were similar to the Alpine windows...prone to rust, and the warrenty was very limited on them..

Must admit never seen 1 that bad..

    Cheers Ean

That'll be something I'm going to check over the weekend! Hopefully they haven't been touched by the rust bug... I've already got the anti rust sprayready to go.
