    Mine was broken exactly the same way so I bought a $40 soldering iron from Jacar and fixed it, been good now for 2 yrs and been dropped several times too. ....get this, I'd never soldered before

    Since then its fixed numerous remote control cars, helicopters and scalextric stuff too .

    Cheers Simon, just got back from a TV fix it man who took a closer look and said he will just put a new switch in it. Will look slightly different but will work well.

    Now, how damn good is that! Just got to make sure I dont lock the car...then I will have to go throught the emergency proceedure.

    Will inform price!
