Well that didn't help much. :(
Now the unit won't even power up - all fuses OK and power through to the unit. All I did was clean the lense.

Mine used to do this so I replaced it. But levering up on the disc was the solution. You could get a finger in enough to push up while stabbing repeatedly on the eject button.
Dont use cleaning solvent, use Iso alcohol nothing else in a gentle twisting rubbing motion. If you use solvent it will melt the lens.
I used to fix these for a living..
If that dont work then the laser is probably stuffed or the spindle motor is cactus
Brad:)
No to get it to eject, if left partially ejected it'll suck it back in.
Hi Guys, thought I'd have a nosey down under and say Hi:)
I too have one of these CD head units and it is a lovely piece of kit!! just a quick question does anybody know if the button illuminations are prone to failing? are they easy to replace/repair

Excellent info.
I had been trying so may different ways to enter the radio code for mine and have the same CD player shown earlier. It was simple. All I had to do was as IGNORE everything shown on the display. The display is a trick..
I just turned the radio on and it said Code 1, I just entered my 4 digit code in eg 1234 and it came alive. No other buttons or combinations were needed.
