    Who purchased a used AGM battery off Ebay..

    I remember seeing someone post about this. Not sure if it was D2 section, but wanted to get in touch with whom ever it was. Have done the 'search is your friend' bit', but no luck.

    I've bought an AGM battery off eBay and hove no probs with it. It was my installed as a 2nd aux battrey

    I bought 2 AGM's off that site 6 months ago for a farmer mate that uses them to power his solar electric gates on his property.
    Both failed within 4-5 weeks and he bought some cheap truck batteries from supercheap instead and been fine.

    Trough experience I would not buy again but he may have been unlucky, exposed to too much heat although they were shielded or perhaps they are just at the end of their life cycle, I am not sure but what I do know is that his gates stayed half open and he spend quite some time getting his stock back.
