I've got an Icom remote UHF, all the controls are on the mic, so I just put the main box under the seat.
Were have you mounted any gauges or UHF's in the interior of your Disco?
Pictures preferred. After ideas for my upcoming install.

Me too. I've just bought a uniden UH7760NB. The main box which is very small is behind the dash. Only the mic/speaker which has all the controls is visible. The main box also has a speaker.
Cheers

i bought an ICOM IC440, as all the controls and the speaker are on the handset. Box is mounted inside the kick panel covering the steering column and the handset is mounted on a bracket on the left side of the dash near the indicator stalk. Nice and neat and because the speaker is on the handset, it is more than loud enough.
My EMS-1 install using a RAM "l'il buddy" mount :http://www.ram-mount.com/NewProducts...2/Default.aspx , some aluminium angle, and some good loctite glue. Its flexible, and directional.

I reckon I'll have to look for a decent remote UHF setup then, as it sounds like the go for neatness!
Nice work there Hamish. I'm still torn between the EMS1 or EMS2. I currently considering the EMS2 in a gauge pod on the drivers side A-pillar below the tweeter.
Just remember that the EMS is a multigauge. No matter where you put it, it has to be clearly visible, and easy to access. You need to be able to drive the menu buttons. Thats what made me decide on the EMS-1, and thats why it is mounted up on the dash, and not in front of the cdl lever.
I have an Icom400 pro and mounted it in a dash pod made by MESince this pic I've also fitted the switches for my lockers into it.
