Don't know if this will help, but it's worth a try.

Had simlar thing happen to my Td5 in the middel of nowhere. Fixed it by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes and reconnecting it. Seems to reset what ever system(s) that caused the problem.

Lewy, just spoke to Dale who filled me in. Not much knowledge of the V8, but if the immobiliser is activated the alarm will trigger and light on dash should flash when you try to turn key to start.

The Lock/Unlock with the fob, using EKA or a Nanocom/Rovacom or similar will reset the immobiliser. Disconnecting the battery for several minutes will let everything power down and reset but the BCU/ECM will stay in an immobilised state if it has been triggered. That said as the alarm doesn't sound I'd look elsewhere first

From what you've posted and told Dale it sounds to me like it might be a heat or wiring problem so the inertia switch, relays, fuses etc would be first thing to look at.

Hope you get home soon. Not a good feeling seeing the Disco go off on the back of a truck
