    Fuel tank leak ??

    Hi all,

Noticed a small amount of fuel dripping from the fuel tank ( coming from the top ) . I pulled up the inspection plate and found fuel sloshing around on top of the tank. After cleaning it up went for a drive and fuel seems to be seeping from around the " sender-pick up" on top of the tank. My question is can that fitting be tightened and is there an o ring etc that be causing the leak. The fuel pipes look ok.

Thanks in advance for any advice

The rubber seal is easily got at with pump assembly removal, inspect it for defects/misfitting. It should be fitted to the tank first, then the pump assembly lightly lubricated and slid in. I've also found the fast fill breather hose on these tends to perish, so worth a look at both ends of this hose for cracks.
